Light those firecrackers!

Hey all you bloggers,

well first and foremost I would like to wish all my bloggers a happy new year!Alright a bit of deja vu,but don't worry I haven't gone round the bend,the time has come around again this year where we buy new year goodies,buy our new clothes for when we go visiting,squeal inside when ever we receive a red packet and wish each other Happy New Year.Well if you live in Asia you would probably know that during this time of the year it would be Chinese New Year.It's time to light those firecrackers,see those lion and dragon's dancing like there's no tomorrow and celebrating the new year in the Chinese Calender.Chinese New Year is definitely time to connect with those relatives and friends you haven't seen in a while.For example my list for New Year Visiting would be
1:My Paternal Grandparents
2:My mum's old Chinese tuition teacher
3:My grandma's old colleague
4:My grandma's family
It surely doesn't sound like a lot of places in a nutshell,but trust me it is excruciatingly boring and painstakingly tiring honestly we started at 10am and ended at 11pm.I was about to collapse on the floor by the time we finished the 3rd place.However this is the only time I ever get to see my cousins who are so amazingly funny and suprisingly are able to out talk me!If you knew me you would say I'm like the energizer button it just keeps going and going and going....Anyway despite the fact that it makes my legs feel like jelly,and my hands chaffed from constantly having to open my bag to put red packets inside it really is quite enjoyable for me.This is so as there is a certain aura about the festivities,the decorations,the food the oranges everything that brings a sense of cheerfullness and family and it gets me in touch of where my roots are and it makes me proud that I am Chinese :D and the money as well as the 2 day holiday doesen't hurt either XD but you know that's not what the true essence of CNY is about.*Wink Wink* Haha alright well I think I've said all I need to so to all my faithful bloggers who are chinese you would know there are still 13 days to CNY so enjoy the rest of it! I know I will!

Who's up for an adventure?

Hello to all my lovely bloggers,
first of all I would like to apologise for my leave of absence,I am terribly sorry that I have not been posting a lot for the past 2 weeks,but school has been so hectic and today is the day before CNY and since Simply Me is Chinese I have been busy preparing.However luckily I was able to squeeze in 2 hours of my Saturday to watch a movie,and some to write a post.This movie is a movie I've been wanting to watch ever since I watched the trailer.I'll give you a hint it's a sequel.Yup you guessed it! Journey 2!(The mysterious Island).This movie was amazing! I have to say I enjoyed the 1st one more because I just have a soft spot for Brandon Fraser but there was still a big amount of Josh Hutcherson so that's enough for me! I would give it a 4 star rating because even though it was really good the fact that I knew everything was CGI kinda took away some of the majestic effect it had on me I know some thing's are not possible in real life but why not what can be real,make it real!But still it was breathtaking.And watch it in 3D if you don't it's definitely a waste!Anyway here's a short summary:Sean Anderson(Josh Hutcherson) gets a radio transmission from a satellite facility way off the pacific ocean border,and Sean thinks that the person who sent this transmission may be his missing grandfather Alexander Anderson(Micheal Caine).So Sean Set's off with a not so ideal vacation buddy,his stepfather Hank(Dwayne Johnson).When they arrive at Pulao they meet their new tour guides,Gabato (Luis Guzmán) and Kailani(Vanessa Hudgens) his beautiful daughter and that's really when the adventure begins! Well that's all I'm going to tell you for now but please go and watch it,it is amazing really great film it took my breath away and it was insanely funny!

Mission Accomplished

Hey all you bloggers,
well first and foremost I would like to wish all my faithful bloggers a very happy new year! It's finally 2012 the year everyone says the grand apocalypse will occur(cue scary music) well we won't really know until the 21st of December but until then why don't we just have fun!This year complete all your new year resolutions,get a new hairstyle,revamp your closet,learn the lyrics to your favourite songs,party till the floor breaks but at the same time study till your brain hurts :).Anyway to start off the new year I decided to try something I hadn't tried before in the closet department,that was one of my personal new year resolutions to revamp my wardrobe and I donned a full length maxi dress and I LOVED it! Trying new things may not be such a bad thing after all.However that is not the point of this blog post,i apologize for getting carried away.But how else would Simply Me start the new year if not for a movie?I watched one of the most high-action,gravity defying and contraption filled movie I have ever watched.Yup you guessed it! It was Mission Impossible 4:Ghost Protocol.I have to say this definitely gave Sherlock Holmes a run for it's money it was really really good but they definitely have something very distinctly different,English humour,American humour.I would give it 4 1/2 stars I only deducted half a star because I'm not a very big fan of Tom Cruise but this movie is amazing go and watch it!Alright I owe all my bloggers yet another apology about the lack of summaries but most of the movies that I've been watching have been thrillers and a summary would be full of spoilers but I promise you this movie won't let you down!

All I want for Christmas is you.........

Hey all you bloggers,
well first and foremost I would like to wish all my faithful bloggers a very merry Christmas :).I hope you guys received all the presents you wanted,kissed the person you wanted under the mistletoe,set up all your favourite ornaments on the tree and listened to all your favourite Christmas songs.Currently my favourite Christmas album is either Glee the Christmas album or Justin Bieber Under the Mistletoe.(However my favourite ALBUM is Up All Night by 1D).Alright getting a bit off subject but this year I would love to write about what I did for Christmas and what I received.This year I received one of the best presents I could ever ask for,which was true faith in the lord,knowing he's always by my side,carrying me through hard times.I finally had that faith after so long and I couldn't have asked for anything better.Also something else which was very special was a present to me,the guy I currently like is so incredibly sweet,honest,funny,cute and kind and the funny thing was I met him by coincidence and I think he may like me back the way I like him :) <3 which I am so happy about that this amazing guy likes me :D.Anyway let me list the presents I got for this year and first a DISCLAIMER I AM NOT BOASTING or SHOWING OFF what I got I'm just telling you guys and please leave a comment if you want to tell me what you received(random order after number 1)

And if you have been reading my post's since 2010 you may probably have known that I was head over heels in love with a guy who didn't even notice I was there and now that it's the other way around I don't know how to feel about that.One part of me still feels something for me but another part says DANGER DANGER stay away but I really like the guy I was talking about in the 1st paragraph :D.Anyway all you bloggers,I will not be writing a new year's post as I am busy during this period but since a year is coming to close I would just like to firstly thank all my bloggers,my family,my friends this has truly been an amazing year.I want you guys to know that don't be afraid to make new year resolutions! Be crazy and wild don't be afraid to reach for your dreams and persevere if you have to do it!Life knocks us down sometimes but it's our choice whether we want to get back up or not!Wishing all you guys a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

I see everything.......that's my curse

Hey all you bloggers,
well if you are wondering why I am straying away from my normal font it is because this lettering definitely suites the movie I'm writing about today.This movie is definitely one of the most well made movies I have ever watched in my whole life.I really loved the fact that it was so mysterious and it focused on every single detail it really was a great movie and much better than the first film.This film always kept u on the edge of your seat and left you guessing the whole time.It was yup you guessed it Sherlock Holmes:A Game of Shadows.It was AMAZING.I have never seen a movie which was so unexpectedly witty and charming.Really really great.I would give it 5 stars hands down.2 2 2 thumbs up!Go and watch this movie!Well again I am terribly terribly about this but I cannot write a short summary as I said it was a thriller,full of surprises if I write a summary,many spoilers.However it just opened on the 22nd so there is still plenty of time to go and watch it but trust me it's so worth every penny.For those of you who don't know the basic plot.Basically Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr) has another mission to stop Dr James Moriarty (Jared Harris)from bombing the whole of Paris to smithereens I know it's sound very cliche but if you watch the movie in full detail trust me you will love it!
